Lovely place to rest your head
We stayed overnight on route to Oxford at this lovely Village Inn.
We had two rooms as were unable to book a family room, our elder daughter being classed as adult, which meant it was expensive. However, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the owners were attentive and friendly. The food is very good and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast. Only issue really is the damp in twin bedroom and dated decor throughout.
Thank you for your kind words. Although it is not possible to book a family room on line, if you had asked when you arrived for you to all be in the same room, we would have put another single bed in your room. As you will remember, there was plenty of space. This would have saved you £45 on your one night stay. The patch at the top of the twin room is a result of a roof leak which has been repaired and is no longer damp. We have only been running this Inn for a few months and have scheduled both rooms to be redecorated in May.
