About the hotel

The Green Man Pub Dunchurch, is a traditional village pub whose history goes back over 400 years. At one time it was the main coaching inn for the village being on the London to Holyhead turnpike. The Pub is located in the centre of the Midlands with easy access to M1, M6, M42, M40 motorway network and the A14, with Coventry and Birmingham Airports within close reach.

The Green Man Pub lies around ten miles south east of Coventry with many of the local houses built in the 18th century however a short walk around will reveal some interesting timber framed properties dating back to the 17th century. Dunchurch is quiet “by passed” village and is designated a conservation area with lovely village complete with village stocks and maypole, this has had a tremendous contribution to the regular winning of the prestigious best kept Warwickshire village award. Dunchurch, despite its tranquil setting, has a dark secret, for it was hear in 1605 that the co-conspirators in guy Fawkes gunpowder plot waited to hear news of his venture to blow up the houses of Parliament. The Greenman Pub is under its licensees Stephen and Joanne Bennett. It is enjoying a new lease of life with many improvements including en-suite guest rooms, meeting room refurbished restaurant area , secure beer garden with play facilities for children and a large secure car park.

Very friendly

Very friendly staff made me feel very welcome.

In spite of being above a pub, the sounds from the bar were not intrusive. Large car park made it very easy. Clean room with controllable heating - i will definitely stay here again, and the food was good.
