About the hotel

Bought by Andrea and Ian Kelly, hoteliers for more than 20 years, in July 2011, the hotel re-opened on the 31st October after a complete refurbishment. It has six en-suite bedrooms, restaurant/function room, bar and tap room with informal eating areas and a relaxing snug. All of our six rooms are named after local villages, with lovely views across Morecambe Bay and the village countryside.

Each room has high quality fittings and designer fabrics, complemented with solid oak furniture. They have flat screen TVs, free Wi-Fi access and refreshment facilities. This large room with its handcrafted 1930s style oak bar as its centrepiece, is ideal for more informal dining. The old tap room/games room has been transformed into a vibrant eating area for up to 35 guests.

Welcoming atmosphere awaits you

As we entered the hotel we received a lovely friendly welcome and immediately relaxed after our long journey.

Our room Baycliff was lively and the window seat was fab. Staff friendly and helpful hotel clean and atmospheric. Views gorgeous. Car park great. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again and highly recommend.( Only two sort of negatives to owners was that the breakfast wasnt the best but not the worst - skin on sausages tough. Second morning not as good either as first but only a critique not complaint. Secondly, there are a few things in the room to finish off to make it at its very best - headboard to finish, window seat to finish painting and shower needs properly sealing - again a critique not a complaint). Thank you though for a great break and your hospitality.

Quality at a quality price

This hotel is not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for, a quiet atmosphere, attentive but unobtrusive staff.

A pleasant night away. Dinner menu catered for both the exotic and plain tastes.
