Although we agree that some updating is due, the accommodation was clean and comfortable.
The staff were all friendly and sorted out our parking permits straight away (£2 from 12 midday to 12 midday). At breakfast, the staff were lovely. There were cereals, fruit, juices, freshly cooked breakfast to order and hot drinks and toast. The bar was open late and seemed well used, although we did not go in.
We booked a premium sea view room with balcony, which turned out to be much better than we expected for the price. The en suite was clean and had been relatively recently renewed. Had to run the shower a long time for it to run hot, but it did eventually.
We took our own teabags and milk and would recommend anyone to do the same as there were teabags but no coffee, and only powdered coffee creamer but no milk. However, we did not ask for any so it may have been easily remedied. The room was cleaned each day.
Don't expect the Ritz for the price, but I would recommend it.
Although hotel interior looks a little tired, room was clean and comfortable.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Although there is a bar downstairs with music it was not a problem in the room.
