Linnies is an original 3 storey Victorian house retaining many of its original features including working range in the dining room and working fireplaces throughout. Antiques, grandfather clocks and other curiosities fill the rooms making it a warm and comfortable environment for the guests alongside owners Linnie, her husband Steve and their poodles Bella and Dougal.
Sited opposite York hospital it is an easy 10 minute stroll to the centre of York passing along Gillygate with its many restaurants and café bars and on through the historic stone gateway of Bootham bar which forms part of York’s famous stone city walls and only a short walk from many attractions such as York Minster, the National Railway Museum, York Art Gallery, the Yorkshire Museum to name just a few.
A quality breakfast is included comprising Full English/ yoghurt/ cereal/ fruit juice as requested by guest.
Superlux Double Bedroom (3rd floor suite of rooms): Double room with sleigh bed and its own internal bathroom containing slipper bath with starlight view. Room has leather settee and antique dresser along with table and chair. Fittings supplied include large flat screen TV, DVD, Wi-Fi, Radio/CD player, Hair dryer, Hair straightener, Tea & Coffee making facilities with biscuits. Filtered water and complimentary chocolates. Wine glasses available. A restful suite overlooking the garden in a creamy white colour scheme on the 3rd floor where York Minster can be seen though the trees in the garden and the bells can be heard. Room is available in 2 configurations - double bed or double bed with additional put-up bed suitable for child over 4 years of age for an additional charge.
