Was alright but...
Tucked away along a long quite well-to-do estate I eventually found tekels, looks like it was previously a care home, some good parking, very quiet area-peaceful and safe.
Room was basic but in good state. Shared bathroom facilities was a bit of a disappointment , but also in good nick and with 3 or 4 of them at the end of the corridor , so shouldn't get caught short. Nearest eatery would be drive back down the lane, or takeaway delivered . On this occasion the proprietors were about to order pizza in when I arrived, and were more than obliging to let me order with them. Very nice and friendly people. There was a good selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and toasting stuffs, eggs could be made up on request.
All in all, not a bad place to stay. Xxx
Served a purpose
I booked to stay as I had a job interview in Farnborough.
Arrived and doors were locked. Took staff a couple of minutes to answer doorbell. Then had to fill out an awful lot of details including my driving licence number?. Was then taken up to my room which was very basic, but clean. Later on in the evening a member of staff decided to unlock my room while I was inside, however she did apologise for this. In the morning I went down for breakfast and there was a good selection of continental, however there was no cooked option and the croissant's were very cheap and left a lot to be desired. Overall, I suppose you get what you pay for only costing me £43 for the night including breakfast. Better service and better breakfast would have been good though.
