About the hotel
Awake to the sound of birdsong and lambs in the summer. Relax on a winter's night in front of a cosy log fire in a sitting room designated for your use. Enjoy views across fields to the South Shropshire Hills.
Higher Netley is a hamlet of 4 homes, off the beaten track, and yet only a mile from the A49. What better than sitting in the garden amongst the smell of roses, whilst sipping a glass of Award winning Tanners Wines. The garden is small but well stocked with flowers and vegetables and a refreshing place to sit after a day traveling. The garden is set amongst farmland, where you will see throughout the seasons, lambs, cows, cygnets, ducks and a variety of wild birds. In the winter we go sledging in the fields and pond dipping in the nearby brook. There are many places to visit within a half hour car journey; specifically: •World Heritage Site - Ironbridge Gorge Museum - newly refurbished Victorian Town - 30 mins away •Much Wenlock- mascot for the 2012 Olympic Games - 30 mins away •Stokesay Castle - one of the rare fortified manor houses in the country - 20 mins away •Medieval town of Shrewsbury - 15 mins away •Historic town of Ludlow, including Castle - 30 mins away •Micky Miller's Barn - a great indoor activity for kids of all ages - 20 mins away •Secret Hills - fascinating interactive displays on the unique geology of the South Shropshire Hills - brilliant for all ages - 20 mins away •Cosford RAF Museum 30-40 mins away •Hill walking with spectacular views, Long Mynd, Stiperstones, Lawley and Caradoc - on the doorstep •Why not hop on a train at Church Stretton, where there is free parking; which will take you directly Shrewsbury, Ludlow (Castle and food), Hereford (Cathedral, Mappa Mundi, and market town), Leominster(Priory and Antique markets) or even Cardiff? •Severn Valley Railway – Bridgnorth – 40 mins also Bridgnorth Cliff Railway

A great b&b
We arrived on a cold and damp evening, to be greeted by a welcoming log fire and a cosy lounge to which we had unrestricted access.
The en-suite bedroom was well appointed, with a comfortable bed and views over green pasture land. An array of breakfast goodies awaited us, including a lovely cooked breakfast. Caroline is a welcoming, unobtrusive host. We would like to go back for longer.
Our stay at Caro's
Caro's was exactly as we hoped it would be in terms of location and the property itself.
We were lucky enough to have first choice of the two rooms and so chose the room with the window. We both slept very well and really enjoyed both of Caroline's breakfasts over our two day stay which on both days included rhubard picked from the garden the day before. A perfect base for lovers of the county of Shropshire.
