Accommodation is set in a lovely location and the service is friendly and accommodating.
The worst room I've ever slept in, felt ripped off for the price
I expected more than what I received after paying £75 for a double room.
Firstly I expected a double bed, what I got was two single beds (well I use the term "bed" loosely) crammed into a box room that was smaller then the single room you give university students. The 2nd bed was not a bed at all, it was a camp bed rule which folds down, this produced the worst nights sleep I've ever had. The metals bars dug in my back and hip causing all levels of pain and frustration during the night. The bathroom could have done with a clean, the Bin had not been emptied as there was a used paracetamol packet inside and dead insects on the floor!. The bedroom door didn't close properly therefore It had to be locked to get any type of privacy.
The welcome when we arrived. Well there wasn't one. A piece of paper on the side telling us which room we had and no one around, not much of a welcome. After leaving to get food (as the bar wasn't open till after 6) we came back and went to pay our room and speak to someone about the room. I waited in a queue at the bar for 30 minutes with only 4/5 people in front of me, yet it took all that time to take a few drink and food orders. By this point I was so angry and frustrated I paid my tab and went to bed due to the early start the next day. I didn't receive any sort of "everything ok with the room" or "have a nice stay". Utterly disgusted. 1st trip to Wales and of this is how you are treated I doubt I want to go back. I would not have paid more then £40 for that room and feel completing ripped off at what I was charged knowing it's nothing like described.
