About the hotel
An 18th century GRADE 2 listed former bakehouse , comfortable and clean ,flagstone floors , double room in the winter costs £59 (single occupancy £49 ) single room £39 in the summer and christmas its more , we dont see the point in having empty rooms in quiet times , its a win win situation for us both a DOG is present and we encourage people to bring their furry friends ,the owner is a retired antiques dealer/actor so the house is furnished to reflect its age so if you are premier inn sort of person you probably should consider somewhere else , Located in the centre of historic town of Sherborne in the county of Dorset, two minutes walk from the famous Sherborne Abbey and town centre. our ethos is to provide a very relaxed and informal feeling ,,you can get in after 3 pm and breakfast is from 7 to 10 11 0n sunday , each of the 7 rooms are furnished differently with mix of antiques and modern furniture , tea and coffee , wi fi and tvs in all rooms at no charge , we are only 3 mins from the boys school and about 8 from the grls , the prep is about 2 mins . we have been running for about 10 yrs and know we are not going to be everyones cup of tea as some people are looking for a more boutique type of experience which we are not .
. we set out to provide a clean decent room,( so again its not a boutique hotel and its priced to reflect that } hot water and powerful showers , where the staff are friendly and helpful ,breakfasts use local food from the local butcher and baker and are cooked to order , from our reviews you can see some people like us, some dont , you have to make up your own mind ! DOGS ARE WELCOME IN THIS HOTEL. a

Only to say with the kettle on the floor with wires everywhere and the kitchen a shambles
amazing place but never again!
Had a very warm welcome from Charlie, the resident doggie, almost matched by the proprietor.
Lovely comfortable bed, warm room and good breakfast. Unusual B & B, the owner has furnished it with old furniture and wonderful pictures creating a very friendly welcoming atmosphere.
