About the hotel
Sophie's bed and breakfast is nestled in the beautiful village of Hampsthwaite in the heart of Nidderdale countryside. Hampsthwaite is a small village with good local amenities, including a well stocked convenience store and a local pub that serves traditional good quality food. Hampsthwaite is only 4 miles from Harrogate with its wealth of bars, restaurants and shops.
There is a regular bus service from the village directly into Harrogate town centre should you want to leave the car behind. The two delightful rooms are decorated in calming pale aqua and white colour schemes, both rooms have private bath or shower rooms with the latest contemporary fittings. The bedrooms look out over the garden to the views of the Nidderdale countryside beyond - the perfect place for a relaxing night away. Excellent long weekend
This was such a wonderful weekend stay in a beautiful bed and breakfast with warm and welcoming hosts.
The views from the double room are lovely and the cabrio windows, which open to make a balcony, are just superb. The freshly cooked (and enormous) breakfast was excellent, and the fact that Sophie also has a coffee shop with delicious goodies available all day just made the stay even better. There is a garden to sit and relax, or cosy sofas in the coffee shop. Calm, friendly and utterly delightful. We will be back.
