About the hotel
Regency House is a small, independent, boutique hotel accommodating tourists, business people and academics. It is housed in a beautiful, five storey Victorian building and located in Cambridge city centre. Built in 1850, the hotel has the charming characteristics of a typical Victorian townhouse, with high ceilings and sash windows.
There are ten stylish rooms split over four levels; most have a view of the historical 25 acre Parker’s Piece and two have balconies. The famous Cambridge University colleges are within a short walking distance - as is the River Cam and the city's museums, galleries, shops, pubs and restaurants. Regency House is a five minute walk from the bus station and fewer than ten minutes from the train station. In 2015, the hotel was fully refurbished with a contemporary colour scheme design from Farrow and Ball. The house has been transformed with new bathrooms, carpets, furniture and fittings. Wi-Fi runs as standard throughout the house and is free for all our guests. Every room has a flat screen TV, DAB radio, tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable mattresses with duck and down feather duvets and pillows. A continental breakfast is served in the basement: bread and croissants are freshly baked every morning and are enjoyed with a fresh pot of coffee. Regency House may not be suitable for guests with disabilities or mobility issues due to the rooms being spread out over five floors. Regency House does not have a night porter to assist guests with disabilities or mobility issues; guests must be able to evacuate themselves in an emergency. There are no vibrating pads or visual alarms at this property to alert guests with disabilities in the event of fire.

Regency Guest House
Good location, close to station and city centre.
Beautiful boutique decor
The Regency has been impressively refurbished in a retro style.
The standard of fixtures and fittings is high. The framed prints of Cambridge on the walls and scent diffuser on the staircase help make it homely and pleasant. My small room was well thought out and I had everything I needed close to hand. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with classical FM playing on the radio and a chance to talk to other guests at the refectory style tables. This guest house has a nice feel of an independent home from home in Cambridge. I am going back again shortly as the location is excellent, the price reasonable and it provides a pleasant and stylish environment at the beginning and end of the working day. Also, the beds are indeed extremely comfortable.
