Lovely stay in Portree
We spent three nights at the Isles Inn, it's a great central location for discovering Skye.
Rooms are comfortable, ours had a small shower room but no bath. Breakfast is between 8.30-9.30 with a good selection. All in all a good B&B
Having travelled 200 miles by motorbike in the shortest day - I was ready for a rest and a meal.
The bar staff welcomed me warmly in the downstairs bar replete with a roaring fire-- wi-if password , room key and information all given in a friendly manner. I had booked a single room ( which I knew had no en-suite but had private facilities outside the room) -- very happy to discover I was upgraded to a double en-suite . Evening meal was good followed by a great breakfast choice in the morning. Room was warm , clean and well provided with tea coffee and biscuits. The next day the weather became sleety and I waited on the motorcycle for the roads to clear in the square outside the hotel--- for 1/2 hour I considered returning to the hotel for another night knowing that I would be looked after, however the road cleared and home beckoned- very happy to return to this hotel which provides good service with excellent value.
