We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival.
Our room was very basic. The bed comfortable and the sheets lovely clean and crisp. The bathroom however left a lot to be desired. Very tired looking. It needed an in depth clean. The flooring was shabby. The whole room (bathroom included) needed a fresh coat of paint and some TLC to spruce it up. The food was lovely. We had an evening meal of steak and chips with all the trimmings. The steak was the best I have had for a long time. Breakfast was again really nice. Not sure that I would recommend it to anyone unless they were prepared to put up with the above problems.
Very friendly service
We had a great laugh with the staff, other guests and locals drinking in the pub.
We were there for a couple of nights after extending our honeymoon and were in the minority as a young couple but everything was great for us.
