Nice hotel, friendly staff.

Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff, in a lovely setting.

Just a short walk from the town centre, with nice places to walk all round.

Excellent hotel in a good location for business and pleasure

On arrival I received a very pleasant greeting and shown to my room (Room 7) which was located on the second floor The hotel does therefore have some relatively steep stairs.

The room had double aspect windows and was therefore very light and airy. The bathroom was small but fine for my purposes. I have suggested to the hotel that they either a) explain how the shower operates or b) put some signs in the bathroom, There is a ceiling switch behind the door and not very obvious. There are also specific instructions in the room folder in terms of the TV. Small things but worth knowing in advance of a stay. I did not use the restaurant for an evening meal but breakfast was very good, and with very good service. I would definitely stay again.
