Known as 'Chelsea-on-Sea', Burnham Market has an attractive green surrounded by fine Georgian houses and flint cottages. It is the largest of the seven 'Burnham' settlements and boasts a wide variety of independent and specialist shops. Britain's most famous seafaring hero Lord Nelson was born at nearby Burnham Thorpe, and it was his father, Edmund, who opened "The Nelson" in 1805.
Situated a stone's throw away from the glorious North Norfolk coastline with its many stunning beaches, wide open spaces and some of the best coastal walks, Burnham Market is the hub of North Norfolk. The perfect place to shop, dine or simply stay awhile and revel in being part of the traditional village atmosphere.
Should your stay be for only a few minutes or a few days, we aim to provide the welcome and service you would expect from a long established and traditional Inn.
