Tired & dated

The hotel needs a major refurbishment, its needs decorating throughout.

The bed was very comfortable but the wall paper is falling off the wall. The cleaner didn't turn up so the room was not serviced, one of the staff told us to inform them if we needed extra toilet rolls. Generally the building and its staff are tired and dilapidated.

Good value for money

The staff were fabulous and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

The food was excellent, tasty and well cooked and the service quick. There was hot water and fresh clean towels and the bedding was spotless and the views from the window just awesome. Although the room was small and needed updating it was priced accordingly and we were under no illusions that it was going to be posh and was as expected if not better. If we had wanted grandeur we wouldn't have booked a room for that price and as just somewhere to lay your head and sleep it was more than adequate. If you are looking for luxury in the Snowdonia National Park the Prince Llewellyn is not the place for you but if you are looking for good food, good beer, good company and excellent service along with a clean and comfortable bed for the night at prices that won't break the bank then I would definitely recommend this place. The only downside is the lack of parking but there is a free car park a very short walk away but you do have to know it is there so do ask ....we would definitely stay again
