You charged us £75.00 and this did not mirror the room we stayed in that night, flooring did not fit the bathroom, the shower was poor, the finish of the bathroom needed a refurb.
the bedroom was very poor and this needed to be refurbished. the matress on the beds are springs and not comfortable. the tea making unit was old and not the cleanest, poss due to the age of it. the breakfast again was basic and with no choice as to the menu. in all I would pay if needed around £40.00.
We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. The rooms are cleaned daily, all towels and bedding provided by a laundry company to ensure cleanliness. The plastic kettle and tray are not new but are clean and PAT tested. The shower was fitted recently and is mains pressure, equivalent to a power shower. The basin pedestal must have been knocked to reveal a gap in the lino.Breakfast has a choice of 4 cereals, toast, and a full English (7 items) and if requested eggs can be scrambled or poached. The prices we charge are competitive for the area and facilities, the £20 pp suggested for an en-suite room with cooked breakfast is totally unrealistic.
Village Pub with Accommodation
We attended the Northumberland County Show and needed nearby retreat to spend the night.
This is a village pub with stalwart seasoned Sunday afternoon drinkers in abdundance. Quite concerned us initially as they looked to be there for the long haul. However, the room was very clean and adequate for our needs, and the owner conveniently provided breakfast slightly earlier than he would normally do. Very pleasant host who we couldn't fault in anyway. Ticked the box.
