About the hotel
Jim, Julie and their staff have gained an enviable reputation locally for the high standard of food served at the Druid Inn. As attractive as the exterior would suggest, this is a place of low beamed ceilings and in the winter roaring log fires, which all add to the olde worlde atmosphere. Very much a local inn, the Landlords, Jim and Julie Dolan, promise a real taste of Wales that is well worth experiencing.
The Druid Inn is set in a truly beautiful countryside, it radiates warmth and old fashioned atmosphere that you might have thought had disappeared for ever but it still exists here, so come and enjoy. The Druid Inn offers neat and comfortable accommodation owing to its vast make over in 2004. All rooms are en-suite, and also a separate guest bathroom if relaxing in a warm, steamy bath is what you prefer. The accommodation consists of five bedrooms: Two doubles, two twins and a single room. There is also a self contained flat which can accommodate four people. It consists of a double room, a twin room with a large bathroom, ideal for a family. Every bedroom is fitted with a colour television and tea/coffee facilities and furnished to ensure comfort and a peaceful night’s sleep. Trying to take advantage of, and visit all of the places this area has to offer is too much just for one day, and often a longer period of time gives a chance to experience what this adorable, quaint and traditional area has to offer; and to fully understand its welcoming and almost addictive atmosphere that makes people come back again and again There are many reasons to stay in Llanferres and to make the Druid Inn your base. Keen mountain bikers will be able to follow the many natural wild routes of the Clwydian Hills and ride the Clwyds. There are also a number of mountain bike centres with built trails of varying difficulty within easy reach. Llandegla Forest and its routes maintained by One Planet Adventure at Coed Llandegla is about twenty minutes’ drive and the Mari

The Druid Inn
My teenage son and I stayed here for one night whilst travelling around North Wales watching Rally GB.
The location of the premises was ideal for the purpose of our visit, situated on a main road between the rally service area and the following days stages. The premises is a pub with a few rooms on the first floor above - there's nothing else there and it is a bit remote, in a small village. We were met upon our arrival by (I believe) the landlady, who was very nice and welcoming, showing us upstairs to our room. The room was a small twin with a very small ensuite - toilet, shower and small sink. Never the less it was very clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making and a TV. Radiators in the bedroom and bathroom, with thermostatic control values, proved a godsend to get our very wet clothing dry overnight. Food was available and it smelt very good, although our schedule prevented us from eating there. We stayed the previous night in another hotel, in another part of Wales and paid less for that room, which was far larger and more luxurious than the one we had here, which is why I have marked down on value for money. All in all the Druid Inn is well situated for those wanting a stop off on their journey, the hospitality is very good, the room could've been bigger, but I guess the age and structure of the building has something to do with that. I will consider staying there again next year, if we visit the rally again.
Excellent yet again
Family room works really well, great place and great staff.
