Changed since we last stayed there

This is the second time we have visited the Black Bull.

The first time it was in need of some care and this has duly been given. The room (14) was a lovely big room, very tastefully decorated with a lovely four poster bed. It was so comfortable as well. Tea and coffee selection very good with biscuits too which is a lovely added touch.

The breakfast was good but nothing exceptional although there was plenty choice and fresh fruit which some of the larger hotel chains don't even provide. The only thing that let the room down slightly was the discovery of loose tobacco on the dresser. I thought it might have been coffee but the smell gave it away. A minor detail really. The shower was positioned quite low and was not powerful but did what it was meant to. The bath was a jacuzzi bath which was a wee treat too and again a range of toiletries provided. It was a lovely stay and all in all went above what you would expect from a pub/hotel.

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to return for a third time.
