We booked this hotel as last resort as Inverness was booked up and this was the closest at a reasonable price.
The hotel is large and imposing but the staff very warm and friendly. The rooms are a little old fashioned but perfectly functionable and clean with a comfortable bed. The evening meals are great and fantastic value as is the included breakfast. To our surprise there was a full evening of entertainment with bingo, highland dancing with a piper and a quiz. Great night.
When we stayed most of the guests were 50 plus and didn't see any family's burr that's not to say it's not suitable for younger folks. The local town was picturesque and the setting of the hotel imposing. Strathpeffer is a spa town too. Would highly recommend this destination
Fantastic value for money on rooms, food and then the quality entertainment was free!
The Highland Hotel offered excellent value for money as the rooms are spacious and well equipped (kettle, hair-dryer) and breakfast is included at a very reasonable rate.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very clean with some fantastic big communal areas and some incredible views of Strathpeffer and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again.
