A quiet place to stay

We stayed in the Stanley Room, which was the 1st floor of a barn conversion.

We were slightly disappointed that it was more of a "room with an arch in it" rather than the "suite with a sitting room". The sitting room comprised a single chair and small table and the bedroom space was compromised by the sloping roof and low ceiling.

The room was well decorated and the bed was very comfy.

I had expected more space and a larger TV for the money we paid.

I was really disappointed there was no internet available, despite it being included in the advert. When I asked about it I was told there was internet in the bar area but it didn't extend to the barn, and was also told that they had experienced difficulties with the internet line. We had our tea at the Stanley Arms and I thought the food was rather expensive. My food was burnt and had obviously been reheated but my wife's Scampi looked really good. The cooked breakfast was fantastic and the service was excellent.

Overall it's a nice place for bed and breakfast but mind the low ceiling.
