About the hotel
With the Glenderamakin River flowing below and the Lakeland fells above, you are sure to appreciate the striking and pleasant location of our 17th Century Coaching Inn. Downstairs we have a lounge bar with snug, games room with pool table (in winter months) and dartboard, and a dining room where breakfast & evening meals are served. In summer you can relax in our beer garden beside the river, and in winter you can warm yourself by the open log fire.
The Mill Inn has 5 en suite bedrooms, 3 double and 2 twin. Services include tea & coffee facilities in all rooms, and hair dryers and trouser presses are available. We serve morning coffee and afternoon tea. Parties are catered for and we also have a Christmas menu.

Stopover on Long Journey
As we were travelling from Pitmedden in Scotland to our home in south Lincolnshire my husband and I decided to have a stopover along the way.
We had not been to the Lake District for many years and were looking forward to visiting the area again. We were very pleased that our car had the benefit of Sat Nat as we doubt that we would have found the Mill Inn. The staff were very helpful even though they did not seem confident with which room we were staying in. Our room was rather small but adequate. The meals were rather larger than anticipated but were well cooked and presented. The hotel was very old and rather quaint. The area was beautiful and the only drawback was the weather. If we were in the area again we would be happy to stay there again.
Overnight stay for wife's birthday
Inn was in a beautiful location.
Food was excellent but a little expensive, £12.95 for Fish and Chips. Full English Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. We didn't eat anything except an ice cream until the evening!
