About the hotel
At Bridge House your comfort is our aim, and we believe that our standards are of the highest quality. All the catering is prepared from fresh, on the premises, and when you arrive you will be able to start to relax with our complimentary Cornish Cream tea, made using locally sourced produce. The house was built in the early 1900s, and has been extensively and recently modernised into a modern family home to a design that has retained the Edwardian ambiance, emphasised by our collection of antique and modern cut glass.
Our rooms are comfortably and extensively equipped, and stylishly decorated with a mixture of modern and traditional furniture. Guests have access to a dining room, and lounge with TV, as well as their own private room, but there is no restriction on anywhere in the house - this is your home while you stay here, and if you want to come and talk to us while we prepare your food in the kitchen, then we would love to talk to you! We're in a quiet, beautiful part of Cornwall, in an area designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just over the Devon Cornwall border, about 5 miles from Tavistock. Using Bridge House as a base, you can explore Cornwall and Devon, or take advantage of the many leisure amenities that are locally available. Wonderful walks are on our doorstep; there are canoeing trips, extensive cycling trails, and "treesurfing", all within minutes of Bridge House. The river Tamar is easily accessible, and there are a number of National Trust properties within easy driving distance. A trip to Plymouth on the Tamar Valley Railway is well worth while, both for the trip, and for the experiences available in the historic port. Beaches are not far, the Eden Project is just over an hour's drive away, Tavistock is a treasure, and is minutes away - the list is endless, and you'll be spoilt for choice! You could decide simply not to go anywhere, but to stay at Bridge House and be pampered.

Your not going to find a better B&B
I imagine that it would be extremely difficult to find accommodation with better service and care.
Everything you could require was available and there were many unexpected additional extras
The best B & B ever!
I could not fault anything.
The welcome and thoughtfulness of the proprietors when I arrived very late after a gruelling journey was genuine. The facilities are excellent with great attention to detail and the award winning breakfast is exceptional . I would definitely stay here again.
