Peacehaven has been improved & extended to provided an excellent holiday base but still retains its charm with wooden panelled reception rooms and a homely feel. We have a range of different rooms from large ensuite family rooms to smaller twin and double rooms.
We also have an ensuite downstairs twin bedroom suitable for the disabled or elderly. Our other facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, games room and 'The Chapel' Conference suite. Peacehaven is situated in 5 Acres of grounds with sheep, with lambs at various times of the year. The sea is only 1 1/2 miles away at Seaton, a quiet Edwardian sea-side resort with a 1 mile long pebbly beach and lovely promenade. The pretty fishing villages of Beer and Branscombe are a short drive away with the resorts of Lyme-Regis and Sidmouth all within 10 miles. For those looking for things to do Seaton has a tramway which runs by the Axe Estuary to historic Colyton. In Beer is the Pecorama gardens & exhibition and Beer Quarry Caves. Room 4 fantastic sea view
We stayed in room 4 on the first floor, large family room with extremely comfortable double bed.
Large view of the countryside and sea view to have morning tea/coffee and plan the day.
Large bathroom with piping hot water at all times and large wardrobe with ample hangers.
Craig who runs Harepath is the ideal host, knowledgable, friendly,, nothing is too much trouble.
We had the swimming pool all to ourselves on the Saturday evening which was an added bonus.
We didn't use the two lounge rooms on the ground floor or the chapel but they were available.
Great stay would definitely go back as its like a step into the past :)
Perfect for my needs
I needed a sensibly priced room for a two night stay whilst racing at the nearby Wiscombe Park Hillclimb.
The room was spot on - I had booked the room with 'private facilities' and these were just across the corridor and nice and clean. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but I will try next time . The owner, Craig, was really welcoming and helpful .
