Booked a two night stay at the boot due too its proximity too the Chateau Impney hill climb we were attending.
We were impressed and are considering booking again for next year.
I have stayed away a lot over the years and become somewhat jaded and possibly cynical about another night away, but The Boot has restored me no end and I will return as soon as I am able.
The Boot is the most complete venue I have had the pleasure of staying at. The welcome from a lady who clearly enjoyed her job was genuine and warm, the room very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished, the bed firm and very comfortable (and I usually like very soft!) the menu wide for a small(ish) pub the food was excellent quality and quantity and very good value for money.
The Pub is on a minor road so little traffic and the room perfectly peaceful with the window open. It is in a small village with some old properties so if fine is worth a walk around after dinner and is set in some beautiful typically English countryside.
A hearty English breakfast with a pot of good English tea will keep you going until dinner. Thoroughly recommended and especially if your thinking of a few days visiting the area.
