About the hotel

The Waverley offers high standards of cleanliness, an excellent, friendly and efficient service plus a resident international chef, not to mention we are close to all amenities! Our spacious rooms offer tea/coffee making facilities, clock radio and central heating for those cooler months. The Waverley is located a short walk from Paignton sands, Paignton Green Park, town centre, entertainments and all travel stations. Paignton on the English Riviera is a thriving holiday resort, and is one of the three coastal towns that make up Torbay, affectionately known as The English Riviera, together with Brixham & Torquay.

Adjacent to the beach is Paignton Green offering the perfect spot to just sit and relax, also in the summer months there are a number of exciting family events staged here, also on the green is Pirates Bay - an 18 hole pirate themed adventure golf course full of fun and adventure for adults and children alike. Rather than the traditional UK style crazy golf, adventure golf is an American concept where the holes are skill based. There is also a 9 hole pitch and putt at Roundham Head, just past the harbour towards Goodrington. One of Paignton´s best known attractions is Paignton Zoo Environmental Park which gives visitors a life long respect for animals and the environment.

A quiet but close stay

A guest house very close to the centre of Paignton, but off the main road far enough that it's quiet and secluded.

My room was a well appointed attic room (with a good-size bed) and though I had worries about the train track that ran along nearby I didn't hear any late trains (there may not be any!) Hans was friendly and helpful and it was a relaxing place to stay. Value for money and I would love to stay there again. No complaints at all.

Brilliant place to stay

Excellent communication and customer service.

Rang 2 days prior to stay as circumstances had changed and a very late arrival time was necessary . Couldn't have been more helpful and the greeting on arrival was warm infomative and very genuine. Breakfast selected the night before and delivered to the table at a time selected by us. The fruit platter beautifully displayed on the plate 7 different variety of fresh fruit. Followed by fried breakfast and croissants. Coffee cereal juice to complete the meal. The host was charming polite and attentive without being intrusive, offering suggestions for best routes to town and Plymouth. Would definitely stay again.
