About the hotel
A family run bed and breakfast and self catering cottage, Lobhill Farmhouse and Stable Cottage offer a warm welcome, quality accommodation and a relaxed and peaceful stay in a stunning location. Situated in the Lew Valley this beautiful farmhouse and cottage is perfectly located for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Both the rugged north coast and the gentle south coast are easily accessible and glorious Dartmoor is just three miles away.
Breakfast is served in the large farmhouse kitchen with a choice of an Aga cooked Full English Breakfast or a lighter option ( visitors to the cottage may also take advantage of breakfast in the farmhouse if they wish ). All ingredients are locally sourced with the eggs being laid just metres away by the hens in the family’s newly planted vineyard. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the large garden and relax in the summer house or wander through the woodland, with views of the vineyard and walk further on to the lakeside. Walkers and nature lovers will find a little bit of heaven on the door step. The 20 acre wood and surrounding farmland with the family's newly planted vineyard and Alder lake is wondrously peaceful, a paradise for bird watchers. There are also a number of superb walks on and around Dartmoor and many designated and planned routes locally such as The Two Castles Trail, a 24 mile walk between Okehampton and Launceston Castles. Lobhill Farmhouse is also close to the Sustrans National Cycling Network, Route 27 also known as the Devon Coast to Coast which includes the converted railway path, the Granite way. About 30 minutes away is the Camel Trail at Padstow, one of the most popular recreational routes in the country, passing through the wooded countryside of the upper Camel Valley and alongside the picturesque Camel Estuary - a wildlife haven

100% would recommend it to a friend
Stayed at Lobhill one night during a very cold snowy January to attend a wedding nearby.
Could not have stayed anywhere better, warm and cosy, and very welcoming. Room was huge with its own entrance from outside. Jane was a lovely host and especially attentive with fabulous home cooked farmhouse food. Definitely recommend.
A great find in central Devon
We were delighted to have found this B&B (via Laterooms).
We had to attend an event near Sheepwash and needed to stay overnight to be sure of having time to find our way. Lobhill Farmhouse is in a lovely location and beautiful grounds and we had a perfect (if brief) stay. The bedroom was just what we needed. The breakfast excellent; and Jane could not have been more helpful in every respect.
