Wedding Trip

Arriving at The George after a very long drive, we were met by the friendly staff who showed us to our room.

Parking was a bit tricky on a busy Friday evening but was sorted out straight away. Cannot fault the room, it was comfortable, clean and we had everything we needed with tea/coffee even fresh milk supplied upon request. Plenty of hot water for a shower and the bed was comfortable. Our one grumble would be that the meal we had in the evening was a bit of a let down, my husband had steak and I had spaghetti carbonara, both disappointing, both served on cold plates, which we complained about at the time but no attempt was made to rectify this issue, the steak was very tough and the pasta did not taste as I would have expected it to. However, cannot fault the cooked breakfast which was very good with plenty of tea and toast if needed, so happy with this. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay in this charming village.
