Short stay mini break
The hotel is lovely with friendly staff and good food.
The room was spacious for the 5 of us which I was concerned about as I've been to other hotels where the room was tiny with no room to manuvour around the beds and that was for 4. I did try to contact them prior my visit but no one answered the phone which concerned me but when I saw the room I was delighted. It was the attic room so low ceilings in parts but the floor space was impressive. There were 4 beds, one double, one permanent single and 2 fold up beds, unfortunately the fold up beds were too uncomfortable to sleep on, one sunk to the floor like a hammock and the other springs stuck into you. Fortunately we only stayed one night. The staff when I checked out said that they would look at the bed (hammock one as didn't have the heart to complain about both of them) and make sure they don't use it again. If they could address they're fold out beds we would go back in the future as I believe that it was great value for money. But we could not have another night like the one we had as it did ruin our last day in the lakes because we were all tired from getting no sleep. You can see all the rooms on there website before you go and when you book they tell you what number your room is straight away so you can see it prior to arriving which is great.
