Great traditional hotel
We absolutely loved this hotel.
It is not boutique or bijou, it is just a brilliant traditional hotel. The room was cofortable, warm and absolutely spotless. The bathroom was good, with a bath and shower and lots of hot water. Although our room was at the front of the hotel we did not find the traffic noise disturbed us and it dies down by the time it it time to go to sleep. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was top quality. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, and served with homemade bread. There are lots of homemade jams and marmalades too and the very nicest dried fruit compote, again made by the hotel chef, who I believe is also the owner. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Room was warm & clean but, like may older establishments, banged my head several times on low ceilings in bathroom and wardrobe (cupboard).
Staff very helpful & friendly.
