Far from city center, BUT clean and cheap!
Close to big city park. FRESH AIR!!. Clean in the room. Strong Wi-Fi everywhere. 20 min. from city center by bus, but it's worth. Highly recommended!
Absolutely appalled with this place! Do not stay here! Spend a bit more and get somewhere decent!
We arrived at the college to book in and as I walked in to the bar to speak to someone, a young lad walked past me with 2 other guests.
At this point I said ' oh, I was actually just looking to book in myself' to which he completely ignored me and walked off with the guests. I decided to wait for him to come back and was stood about for 20 minutes. I thought I'd best go and check he was actually coming back so was just walking to the rooms when I saw him coming back. He then walked past me again and back in to the bar. I followed him in and said 'I'm wanting to book in' to which he said 'yeah, I think I heard you say something before'. He pull off a bit of blank till receipt and asked me to write down my details. I thought it was really odd as surely they'd have my details from when I booked the room but I wrote them down as I just wanted to get settled in the room. I followed the lad back to the rooms and was shown in to a room with three single beds and an en suite. The lad quickly showed me about then said 'ok?' then slapped the key in my hand and walked out before I hardly had time to answer. I went to get my frinds and luggage out of the car and when we went back to the room it was only then I actually saw the extent of the filth in the place. The walls were covered in food smears and the handle was broken off the window. The bathroom stank and there was damp all over the bottom of the walls with mould in some places. There was slats missing out of 2 of the beds and we had to be careful in case we slipped through the gaps. I was going to complain but my friends said for the cost it was hardly worth wasting our time. We got ready and headed out to Liverpool. We arrived back at about half 2 in the morning and let ourselves in. As we had changed and settled in to bed we heard a beeping noise every few minutes. We grumbled and knew we couldn't do anything about it as there was no one to ask to turn it off. We all had a horrific nights sleep waking every few hours to the beeping noise. It turned out the alarm system in the hallway needed maintenance and wouldn't stop beeping. When we went to leave in the morning, I handed the keys to a foreign girl in the bar and told her about our problems at which point she just shrugged at me and shook her head. I am so furious that irregardless of the cost of the room, we had such an awful time here and nobody actually cared about it!!!
