Orton Hall - a hidden gem.

What a superb place Orton Hall is.

The apartment was perfect - very clean, well appointed and very peaceful. A good pub and a convenience store both less than 5 minutes away. The hall is perfectly located for exploring the Lakes and the Yorkshire dales. We will definitely be going back.

Quirky, no fuss, home from home; loved it!

We found this apartment by chance, and we are so glad we did.

I don't think a written review can do this place justice - seeing is believing.

From the beautiful setting, once you are inside those automatic gates you step back in time to another world. Everything about this stay was what we needed; it was like being on an adventure. Off the Grand Hallway was the living room but hidden behind the bookcase was the rest of the apartment - bathroom, bedroom and fully kitted out kitchen with everything you would need and more- from a dishwasher and microwave to toast rack and milk frother!. The owners welcomed our arrival with by leaving fresh milk and chocolate cookies - much to the delight of our very young daughter who already thought she had landed in a place the storybooks were made of. With access to the Spa pool nearby and the extensive grounds to chase bunny rabbits in, she really was in her element. The Grand Hall is lovely, we managed to squeeze in a game of pool as well as meet some of the residents who were welcoming and pleasant.

We felt right at home from the off. Instructions were clear and consise from booking to departure and overall we would love to return again. Thank you.
