Great location, hotel lacking in atmosphere.
The location was excellent with easy parking and on the doorstep of the market square.
Lovely main building with character and well kept gardens, Staff were friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere in the hotel was a little lacking, not particularly romantic. Breakfast was a lacking in sufficient choice where a buffet option may be have proved better.
Would definitely recommend this hotel
This was a hotel where you felt at home.
Everything was so comfortable, didn't want to get out of the beds. We ended up staying an extra night as we liked it so much. ALL the staff were just SO friendly. Loved the open fire in the lounge. Met people who had holidayed here 3 times every year for 10 years. I can see why. A fully served breakfast was novel - did not have to get up out of chair to get anything. I am not very easily pleased but would rate this hotel a 'returner'.
