Hard to find - needs more signs.
Arrived at address given by hotel, not sure where hotel is - no sign.
Asked security on gates where hotel was. He directed us back way we came then turn left at lights and left at next lights. After travelling down this road still no sign of hotel. Asked a further 3 locals and they all sent us back the way we came - to the address we first arrived at . Again asked security on gates, who sent us again back to lights, left and left again. We told him we had already done this but could find no sign of hotel. He then told us to enter the first car park on left((not hotel) as though we should have known. I appreciate work was being carried out and we couldn't enter the normal way but clear directions should have been left at gate. We then had long walk from car to hotel, arrived exhausted and very frustated.
Same but Different
The Old Trafford Lodge is very similar to the best of the budget hotels, Premier Inn, Holiday Inn Express etc, but is a little different, nice rooms, great location, it's a county and test match cricket ground after all.
Parking is free, ample and safe, well lit and close to the Lodge. Continental breakfast from 6:30 suits me and I walk to a local pub for my evening meal (Bishop Blaize - very Manchester United - avoid on match days - unless you like that sort of thing). Never used the bar or had one of the Pizzas on offer but other do and it looks OK.
