Should be renamed b instead of b&b!

I arrived at 3pm and found the front door locked, rang the bell, no answer.

Spoke to lady at b&b next door who said that someone should be in, so I rang the bell again & was greeted by a man in tracksuit bottoms & t-shirt - not very professional looking. The floor in the hallway was squeaky & doors closed loudly. The en-suite room was packed with furniture that didn't belong together & the window faced north so the room was quite cold when the single-glazed window was closed. The bathroom was completely useless. Shower didn't work, hot water took ages to come through sink taps, toilet seat was loose & there was a nail sticking through the middle of the floor. In the end I used the communal bathroom which was much nicer but a little untidy in places. In summary, I paid £70 for a bed for 2 nights & no breakfast & non existent customer service. I would rather have paid a lot more to stay somewhere that actually is what it says it is, even if it doesn't offer breakfast, like the local travelodge for example.
