A friendly clean and efficient small hotel
We arrived just before the kitchen closed but the staff arranged an omelette for my 95 year old aunt who finds difficulty with the usual menu items.
The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and well fitted ensuite modern bathrooms. Breakfasts (included) were excellent with good quality coffee, bacon, black pudding and poached eggs. Value for money would be 6 star except for there being no reduction for single occupancy. Even so pretty good value.
A perfect break.
My partner and I stay in a lot of hotels all over the UK and this was perfect.
The new manager is friendly and has a vision for the hotel. The hotel decor is original and smart. Our bedroom was large, tasteful and clean. The dining is exceptional and a must for travellers. There is a waitress called Emily who is organised, efficient and excellent with all customers. Emily knew how to treat customers and a credit to the hotel. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring surroundings.
