Lovely hotel but a nuisance!

Booked to stay for the 1 night in a double room in the Academie.

Upon arrival I was told that my booking had being made for 2 rooms for 1 night, which was a mistake the company made and not myself. However the staff member was very forceful in saying that I had made the mistake and demanded that I would be paying for 2 rooms rather than the 1 and did not offer any assistance towards helping me resolve this issue. Therefore I had to contact my booking company directly in order to resolve this issue which thankfully we managed to do after being on hold for 20 minutes or so with the hotel. The next problem occured when we attempted to check in at 2 oclock, the time we had being informed we could check in from. We was told that the room was not ready as it had not being cleaned yet and would have to wait around half an hour. We finally had access to our room at 3.30, an hour and a half after our check in time. Again no assistance or apology was offered. Overall the room and the hotel itself was very nice, lovely sized rooms with tasteful decoration and all the neccesities. However the staff came across very abrupt and rude which really put a sour taste on our overall stay at the hotel.
