July break

Still nothing bad to say about the Cabot Court hotel.

Just come back from our once a month stay there & as usual, it was perfect. really cannot fault this hotel & thats why we return time & time again. For us its the best that Weston has to offer.

Not family friendly for little ones and ignorant service

I planned for this stay with my young children aged 1 and 3.

Luckily my partner came with us as we were booked in the attic room on 3rd floor with no lift to this floor and the lift to the second floor would not accomade the pushchair or even four people so we consistently had to manoeuvre the pushchair up stairs while holding a child each. The stairs were very steep and didn't even have a landing at the top so opening the door holding a child and pushchair balancing on the top step was horrendous. management blamed late rooms website and took no responsibility. There was no ramp access to reception from the street and i was told it was a listed building so it couldn't be altered. I appreciate this but the neighbouring hotel had a removable ramp which seemed sufficient to allow immobile customers. I asked to be moved and was told it was fully booked and I didn't have to stay if I didn't want to. Having driven for 2 hours with excited children, I was not prepared to go home. However, we thought twice about leaving the room on occasions as it was dangerous. luckily we didn't fall carrying the children although reception was hardly manned so there was no offer of assistance even if we did. Avoid if you have young children, mobility issues or expect compassionate professional staff.
