superb stay

When we arrived the initial impression was of a typical country pub but once inside we realised we were somewhere special.

The quality of the fixtures and fittings were second to none and our room was exceptional. We decided to have our rvening meal there and were glad we did as the food was of a very high standard ( I can personally recommend the artic char ). The staff were very pleasant, skilled and helpful and our stay was only improved by the lovely local people who made us feel at home. We will definetly return for another break.

A friendly place with helpful staff

We were greeted upon arrival and one of the staff offered to give us his parking space as there was very little space behind the hotel.

Our room was clean and we had fresh towels. Everything we needed for the one night. However, the radiator was on all night and we couldn't turn it off. I woke up at 2am with being too warm and needed 2 glasses of water and to open the window. I tried again to turn the radiator off but it didn't seem to work. Me and my boyfriend both woke up at 6am with headaches and sore throats due to the heat and stuffiness.

I'm sure if we had asked the staff they would have gladly turned the radiator off...we were just tired and it was quite late.
