Weekend with friends.

The hotel was off the beaten track.

In middle of renovation but will be lovely when finished. The breakfast was of a nice standard. Bar shut at 11. Didn't tell us that breakfast was extra until checkout .

Good value for money could be more welcoming

Good value for money, nice area very picturesque but not well signed on the road kind of springs up on you not much lighting considering its on a in out country road.

Nice room comfortable bed was cleaned daily and facilities restocked. Nice sized room and en suite. Village is pleasant just a 5 minute drive down the road lots of places to eat.

Receptionist not overly forthcoming and welcoming when we first tried to check in (after 3pm we arrived a little early) by that point was a new receptionist who was friendly and helpful. Bar area looked nice but was in middle of renovating so we didn't use it, and the restaurant was a little pricey so we chose to eat in the village. Over the weekend the music coming from the bar was a little loud and distracting. All in all we had a nice stay and was good value for money.
