Really mixed feelings....
I booked on-line using Late Rooms and booked a room with an en suite bathroom.
I arrived at the property and was greeted by the owner who gave me a warm welcome. I was shown to my room which was nicely decorated and looked cosy, with an en suite shower room. About an hour later, there was a knock at the door and the owner told me a mistake had been made and I was in the wrong room. Apparently I had booked a room without an en suite. When I checked my confirmation, I could see that it said "twin standard shared bathroom" but underneath it also said "a comfortable well presented twin en-suite room with freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities". Very confusing. I was shown to another room across the hall which was definitely inferior to the original room and the bathroom was down the corridor. Certainly not ideal as far as I was concerned but decided to make the most of it. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good, particularly the stewed plums. The "tea/coffee making facilities" are not in the room but downstairs in the dining room, which again was not ideal as I didn't really want to trek there and back every time I wanted a hot drink. However, the bottle of filtered water which I was given for my room was a nice touch. I would stay again but I would definitely make sure I booked an en suite room. The situation wasn't helped by the owner showing me to the wrong room in the first instance.
Lovely to stay in real 'home from home' accommodation.
Beautifully comfortable four poster bed and small but perfectly adequate ensuite. Access to tea and coffee making facilities in the dining room where I enjoyed a well cooked and, more than I could eat, breakfast. My hosts were welcoming and very pleasant. I would certainly return.
