Basic, bare necessities room
My wife and I stayed here on the Paris leg of our honeymoon.
We booked late, and ultimately this is pretty much the bare minimum amenities for a visit (clean bed/bathroom and friendly staff), and while we have no major complaints (outside of the ventilation), we'll probably seek other arrangements when we return to Paris in the fall. The amenities are extremely basic (though very clean), which is part and parcel for most sub-€150/night rooms in major European cities, but I was still a little surprised by how small the room was. Two people and two roller bags in the room was extremely tight quarters, and the small desk tucked in the corner blocked off half the closet; it's basically a bed, a very small closet nook, and a small bathroom. While it wasn't an issue for my stay, the walls are fairly thin - you'll likely hear your neighbors moving about at some point, though everyone was very respectful and quiet for our stay. Size aside, my only major knock against the room was the absence of air conditioning or functioning radiator. It was unseasonably warm for our first day in Paris, and the small radiator was barely making a dent in the warm humidity of the room, which made sleeping that night very unpleasant.
The location is the real selling point, IMO. The hotel is tucked down an alley in a pleasant neighborhood that's not far from good eateries, sights and hangouts. The Mouton-Duvernet metro station on the 4 line is within walking distance, so getting to and from Gare du Nord, et al. and into other parts of the city was very convenient, and strolling through the neighborhoods to the Pont des Arts bridge was an enjoyable routine during our stay.
We didn't have breakfast, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating in our limited interactions. The wifi wasn't blazing fast by any stretch, but was good enough for VPN and web browsing.
Very friendly staff
