Good hotel with a nice breakfast.
Better than 3 Star
Usually when I travel or go on holiday I pick 4 or 5 Star as a basic requirement but due to what I feel are the most expensive rates I've ever seen in Europe and as I come from a working class background I picked a 3 STAR Hotel with no high expectation's of the Hotel and banked on me having a good time in Dublin's Temple Bar to compensate.
I had travelled alone and arrived early at the Holiday Inn Express near Dublin Airport and I wasn't due to book in to the Hotel till 2pm and was prepared for this by bringing a good book to read but when announcing my arrival at the Reception I was pleasantly greeted by James and after only a couple of minutes I felt very welcomed and also as if I had known him for year's .Got the impression as well he would go out of way to help others and with this being my first visit to Dublin was unsure of the place's to go to and not to miss so I asked James and was given good advice on where to go etc. etc.
I had great long weekend in Dublin relaxing watching the Euro football on TV in various Bars and Diners. Although I wasn't looking forward to my 0625 flight home I asked the young lady at reception the day prior to my departure and without much hope of a positive answer " what time does the free airport shuttle bus start " but I was happily surprised when told it started at the time I required to make my flight home , I was asked if I required a wake up call and also if I required a takeaway breakfast to which I gratefully said Yes . Jennifer was the very helpful young Lady's name on this visit to reception and again like James I felt they both performed above my high expectation's of customer service.
