How Do They Do It?

Coming from Twycross Zoo the hotel is half a mile along the A444.

Looking good from the outside - plenty of parking, large play area, quiet village and surrounded by open fields - the hotel is in excellent condition (could have been painted yesterday) and the grounds perfectly tended. Moving inside the same applied - immaculate decor with a bright, clean feel that was also cosy and inviting. Our room was on the first floor. I say 'room' but it was almost two rooms in one, with the bed in one section and the bathroom leading off the 'next door' part. All clean, all immaculate and looking as if we were the first occupants after a complete renovation. We stayed for dinner in the comfortable bar area and the food is very highly recommended - the home made chicken curry was delicious, as was the mushroom omelette. Both were very large portions and cooked to perfection. Breakfast was served in the Adelaide Suite and again there was a good choice of perfectly cooked food served in very pleasant surroundings. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely like working there. Nothing was too much trouble and we were sorry when it was time to leave. All in all we would definitely recommend The Appleby Inn Hotel for both food and accomodation. We did keep asking ourselves 'How do they do it for the price?'. We still don't know but we are glad they do!
