A bit disappointing
The single room I stayed in was disappointing compared to the photos I had seen on the website and other places I have stayed in Oxford.
The room was small and felt squeezed into a cupboard space. The linens and decor were tired. The bedside lampshade was dirty and almost falling apart. The headboard on the bed was rickety, wobby, and damaged. The en-suite shower room was tiny. The trickle of water from the shower was so pathetic that it would have taken a very long time to take a shower, so I opted for a strip wash at the basin. The taps on the basin had to be turned through many revolutions before water appeared. The star-rating system is badly designed if this room is in a guesthouse worth 4 stars. Good features were as follows: helpful and pleasant staff, nice solid non-wobbly toilet seat, attractive old-fashioned working ceiling fan, small, quiet fridge with ice box, towels that didn't smell musty, nice breakfast.
Great little b&b very clean pleasant and conveniently located to restaurants
