About the hotel

Prestatyn Sands nestles between the rolling hills of Wales and miles of award winning beaches. A holiday here gives you the best of both worlds to combine as your fancy takes you – relaxing in beautiful scenery and enjoying bags of fun activities throughout the day. As well as a choice of three stunning beaches there is plenty to see and do from the majestic Conwy Castle to the Historic City of Chester for a bit of retail therapy.

For the more adventurous a climb up Snowdon could be your holiday challenge although we prefer to take the train! Pontins Prestatyn Sands is perfect for younger families with stacks to keep the smallest (and noisiest) members of the family busy.

No Continental Breakfast

OK the chalet was very cheap, clean and great value, but we booked continental breakfast, but we were told the only cooked is available.

Need to change this on the booking options. The chalet was well equiped and if I had known this I would have bought the bread and ceral had had it in the chalet. Still great value, yes you have to make your own bed and bring you own towels but this is cheaper the YHA prices - good spot for the kids and also for a start point - for sightseeing in North Wales. Lost my bet with the wife over the 1950's TV!!. I said it wouldn't work, but it did - most freeview channels available - pity, as I saw England get bashed by Australia!!. Would stay again though!

Weekend Trip

The park itself is not too bad and the accommodation is what you would expect for the price, with the exception of the faux leather sofa bed.

The kitchen area should have more plugs. The one thing that would improve the trip would be more information about what was happening on the park during the stay. This would have resulted in us spending more time in the park and less outside of it. The evening entertainment was a little late for small children and this was a shame as my kids could not enjoy it.
