Neat Airport-Side Surprise
After driving from Edinburgh, I wanted something close to the Liverpool Airport that wouldn't gut customers on prices.
At £45, my room was an excellent fit for both categories: it was only 2 miles from the airport (via a quiet straight road to the terminal, no less), and it cost much less than the Lennon Hampton Inn. What I didn't expect was the level of comfort available at the B&B, and I was duly impressed. The room was small but homelike and very cozy. Everything was as you'd expect: clean, functional, and accessible. I had a problem where my main radiator didn't turn on (in December), but as I got in around midnight I didn't want to bother my hosts about it. A hot shower did the trick, and thermal blankets were provided. Breakfast was just the best. I enjoyed a superb full breakfast (price included with the room!), and while eating I was thoroughly entertained by the dog, cat, and chickens poking around the garden. After breakfast I asked the host about coming back with my partner and a considerable bit of luggage; she showed me around the larger rooms, which look very attractive. I will definitely be returning after my late flight lands in Liverpool on the way home. 10/10
