There were issues
We asked for a ground floor room if no lifts.
Were checked into a second floor (top floor here) room and went around to the lifts to find a sign that they were out of service for maintenance. So we walked up four flights. Room was tiny.... barely 18 inches clearance on either side of the double bed. So ,as we were down for a two night stay, we rang down to see if we could change to a ground floor room only to be told that ONE of the lifts was working. And it was, But the sign said that the LIFTS were Out of Service. We pointed this out. The following morning both lifts were out of service but two managers were just arriving to "Reset" the system. When we returned in the evening, the same sign was up and one of the lifts was operational. We pointed this out again and once again when we left the following morning. Can't anyone take the responsibility of ensuring the signage is correct. Also, beware the pre-book breakfast offer. If you're not sure you'll want it, don't go for the "money off" offer. It's non-refundable .... although you won't be told that at the time. Shame, otherwise a pretty good hotel with a nice pool. But £11.95 for breakfast is ridiculous,
Dear M Ellis,
Thank you for submitting your review of our hotel. We work diligently to ensure our facilities and services are superior and we try our hardest to provide not just good value, but comfortable, clean and friendly accommodations. I am sorry about the problems you encountered at the hotel during your stay. It seems that we were not able to execute an exemplary stay because of several issues notably the out of order elevator. I completely understand how inconvenient it must be especially if your room allocation is on the higher floors. Your comments concerning the room size and breakfast option have been taken into account. Allow me to apologize for the areas that we may have fallen short. The feedback we receive from our valued guests, like you, enables us to target problem areas. We welcome any opportunity to improve.
Over priced accommodation
Made a mistake when booking.
Had thought that cost included breakfast and then found additional cost of breakfast to be extortionate £15.00 each. Will not be booking with this hotel again. There are other B & B's in area of better quality and price.
