The view from the back of the hotel over the Menai straight to the mountains of Snowdonia is magnificent and stopping here is worth it just for that.
Our room was large and well furnished, unfortunately we looked out over the town. Dinner was reasonable value but for us a little boring. Breakfast as well was ok with a good range but again nothing special. Check in took some time and our bill was incorrect checking out. Other aspects made us feel the staff were not totally committed. car park is good though when they have coaches stopping you may have to pay £3 to park outside.
Everything about this place was brilliant.
It's easy to find on the sea front in Beaumaris. Well kept car park. Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. We booked last minute. 1st night we stayed in room 119. It's on the inside of the hotel so the view would have been a wall but they used lace curtains to disguise that. The room made up for that though. It was on two levels which gave us loads of space. Downstairs was a lounge area with couch, chairs and TV. Plenty of sockets. Tea & coffee makings were on that level. Up on the mezanine floor, plenty of head space on both floors, was a king sized bed (probably two doubles but we didn't feel a join) and a few more sockets. All the usual facilities plus radio alarm clock, iron & ironing board. Self serve breakfast so we could have exactly what we wanted but plenty of staff around if required. Beaumaris is a little village along the Menai Straits. We liked the whole experience so much we tried to book a second night but they were fully booked. We went to the castle just down the main street and checked with the receptionist when we got back. I was greeted with a smile and a thumbs up so waited whilst she dealt with another customer. We got a room on the front this time, due to a cancellation. When we went to the car to go out for the day we discovered she'd already left us a big note saying to call in if we still wanted another night. We didn't get the extra floor this time but the view would be hard to beat and the room was really nice with all the usual facilites. All the staff we spoke to were excellent but a special thanks to Danielle on reception.
Beaumaris is flat and the hotel is disability friendly, apart from our first night room ;) Even if you don't stay there they have a lovely coffee lounge
