Brooks Guesthouse Bristol
We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary.
We went for the "superior" room and ended up in a Rocket caravan on the roof of the hotel, which wasn't what we wanted for £125 a night in a 4* hotel. It was entirely my fault as I didn't pay close attention to the blurb when booking which does mention the 'quirk' of the room being a caravan. The bed was comfortable and the room was well presented, but due to it being a caravan it was small and cold at night. The hotel did provide a heater and a blanket in anticipation of this. We could hear the revelers and pubs closing at night - it was very noisy even on a Monday & Tuesday night. We had breakfast once, which was nice enough.
Lovely bank holiday stay
My boyfriend and I stayed in the smallest rocket on the roof and had a lovely stay.
It was spotless inside and out. Although the rocket is only 16ft, it doesn't feel claustrophobic or small and there is plenty of room for storage under the bed. The location is great as you can walk to everything - bars, restaurants, the harbour etc. The only thing I would say, which can't really be helped is the seagulls in the morning are so loud. We were woken up at 5am but that is no fault of the hotel. Will be staying again.
